Open only on weekends, from Friday to Sunday, Rosa Rosae is a theater of rare beauty, blending rustic details with contemporary elements and a simple, elegant décor.

Each room is filled with the many objects collected during the owner couple’s travels around the world, including always fresh flowers and an abundance of candles and lanterns that create a deeply romantic atmosphere.

The conservative restoration of the old mill has brought back to their former splendor the exposed brick, wooden beams, and still-functioning mechanisms that move the blades in the river below. Contrasting design elements, such as the Eames chairs and the giant Octopus chandelier, designed by Silvio, lend a contemporary touch to the restaurant.

The deliciously home-style cuisine features a unique formula: the fixed price (90 euros) includes a generous buffet of appetizers, an entrée, a first course, and a second course, served at your table, based on the chefs’ creativity of the day and seasonal ingredients, and finally an excellent selection of homemade desserts. Drinks are included, including house wines by the glass and digestifs.

We recommend arriving early to enjoy the atmosphere (dinner begins for everyone at 8:00 PM) and reserving a table in one of the many dining rooms, away from the buffet set up in the entrance hall (which can feel a little unintimate).

In the summer, you can dine on the veranda under the magnificent wisteria. The Inn also offers four rooms upstairs for a well-deserved break in this Arabian Nights-esque setting.

The Secret

Everything at Rosa Rosae is family-run, with a great sense of conviviality. Occasionally, the menu may be changed at the last minute based on seasonal produce purchased by Elisabetta, or Silvio himself, a renowned architect, may serve his favorite French cheeses.
