Who has never dreamed of taking refuge in a "wooden house in the woods"? Today it is possible in Riese Pio X where Alessia and Riccardo have given life to Wooden House, a fairy tale home restaurant just for two.
Truly unique in Veneto, the Wooden House is a tiny wooden house built under a centuries-old mulberry tree where you can book romantic dinners and let yourself be transported into a truly enchanted world.
With an open view of the Asolo hills, Wooden House is immersed in the greenery of the secret garden of Morus Alba, home restaurant and event space, located in the small town of Riese Pio X, in the countryside between Castelfranco Veneto and Bassano del Grappa.
The house is a secluded and unusual refuge to be catapulted elsewhere, into a dreamlike dimension for the inner child that lives within us.

Open at the end of 2021, Morus Alba was born from the imagination of Alessia and the love for cooking of her brother Riccardo who, in the large family home, grew up from an early age surrounded by history and their parents’ passion for antique markets, restoration and collecting.
Here, they have given rise to various themed rooms – from the Belle Époque style one to the 1950s American diner – which, upon reservation, can be set up for dinners and private events.
The booking format at Wooden House is truly “secret”: you can choose from a “surprise” menu (special needs can still be mentioned at the time of booking) with a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian consisting of entrée, appetizer, first course, second course, dessert that follows the seasonality of the products and Riccardo’s creativity of the moment.
His dishes are the result of constant creative research and the desire to always offer something new, to stimulate imagination, curiosity and the sense of play that is part of the Morus Alba philosophy.
While in winter you dine right inside the house, in summer a small table is set up under the mulberry tree that surrounds the Wooden House and which Alessia loves to set up with a thousand lights and candles to create truly magical atmospheres.
The Secret
During the 19th century, silkworms were raised on the property that houses Wooden House and fed on the leaves of the centuries-old mulberry tree that surrounds the house.
