The Secret

The legend tells that during the occupation of Verona by the Lombards, the pearà sauce was invented by the cook of King Alboino as a “potion” to give strength to Rosmunda, his young wife, who wanted to let herself die of hunger after Alboino had killed her father and forced to drink from his skull.
