If you want to experience all the charm of the Prosecco hills, a UNESCO heritage site, Trattoria alla Cima offers you the unique opportunity to literally immerse yourself in this wonderful area. How? Having dinner right among the vineyards that give life to the famous bubbly wine in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG production area.
But let’s take a step back, where the history of this milestone in Venetian gastronomy began. In 1968, after an experience in managing a business in Treviso, Antonio Rebuli returned to his hills and decided to restore an old family farmhouse and created a family restaurant, where he could serve simple meals – bread and cured ham, pasta and beans, omelets – as well as good wine produced in the family vineyards. The restaurant opened on May 1, 1969, and it became immediately a great success, thanks to a splendid view and the good products coming from the family farm.
In the 2000s Isidoro, Antonio’s son, joined the management of the restaurant, continuing the family tradition devoted to a continuous evolution: he made the antique recipes lighter and more contemporary, introduced new meat cuts for the legendary grill, and add a touch of experience matured in starred restaurants to his brigade.
The wine list is excellent, especially the labels from the Veneto region, and includes the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG produced in the 2 and a half hectares of vineyards in which the restaurant is immersed, giving life to the varieties of brut, extra dry and still.
The restaurant does not betray the most authentic spirit of Veneto, made up of extraordinary men who pass down their wisdom from generation to generation, without ever ceasing to lead by example. Granddad Antonio is, in fact, still today, the first to arrive in the morning to open the restaurant. He also continues to search for the best meats, mainly coming from local farms, in order to keep intact the fame of his exquisite grilled meat of which he carefully guards the secret.
