In the heart of the Lazise countryside, overlooking the shores of Lake Garda, surrounded by ten hectares of vineyards, olive groves, and vegetable gardens, the adults-only Natiia Wine Relais was founded in 2021 from Luca Pannone’s dream of giving a contemporary feel to nearby Villa Bottona, a historic residence with a long history of hospitality and viticulture.
The History: From the Heart of Villa Bottona to Natiia
Natiia—the term “natio” with an “i” for forward-looking innovation—is located within the grounds of Villa Bottona, a historic residence that has watched over Lake Garda for centuries. Dating back to the 16th century, it was renovated to its current appearance by Count Brognoligo in 1872, who gave it the characteristic neo-Gothic style that was very fashionable at the time.
We wanted to create an authentic and refined hospitality project, rooted in the history of Villa Bottona, guardian of a generations-long tradition and a legacy to be preserved and revived every day.
Today, Luca Pannone, the fourth generation of the family, is the great-grandson of Renata Barbaro, daughter of Count Barbaro’s second marriage to Guglielmina, the first wife of Count Brognoligo, the creative and visionary soul behind Natiia.
Luca, with a profound historical and cultural sensibility, has innovated the Estate’s wines, creating the Natiia resort, an authentic and unconventional luxury experience where land and well-being, history and beauty, blend harmoniously.

The Residences: 12 rooms and suites, all overlooking Lake Garda or the garden, many with private terraces, where wood and stone interact with large windows that frame the panorama like a masterpiece.
The Wellness Experience: The resort offers an intimate and sophisticated spa with an indoor pool, where treatments often use products from the surrounding area, such as Garda DOP extra virgin olive oil.

Osteriia: the resort’s restaurant, between garden flavors and evolved tradition
The beating heart of Natiia’s culinary offerings is its restaurant, Osteriia, which also bears in its name a connection to the local area and its farm-to-table cuisine, centered around the property’s biodynamic garden, and the most creative innovation.
Here, chef Andrea Vitali, with international experience under Michelin-starred chefs Enrico Bartolini and Isa Mazzocchi, brings the flavors of the Veneto region to the table, reinterpreted with contemporary techniques. The menu features many mouth-watering dishes, such as white asparagus, opera, black garlic, hay, and mandarin mixed salad; trout, caper, salted lemon, smoked lard, and geranium; 90-day-aged beef sirloin, beetroot, cherries, quince, and cocoa; and ravioli with salted ricotta, leek, wild garlic, early vegetables, and candied bergamot.

The Secret
It was during the neo-Gothic renovation that the manor house took the name “Bottona,” probably linked to the large barrels used to store wine, a testament to the winemaking vocation that has always characterized the estate.
