In Zelarino, a one-of-a-kind country relais in Veneto, nestled in the park of the bucolic Tenuta La Querciana and surrounded by water lilies and fruit trees, where everything, from the interiors to the romantic pool, is inspired by the English countryside.
Crossing the suggestive wooden gate of the estate, what is revealed before us is a small village that seems to have come out of a fairy tale. It is the one, with a happy ending, of the Bucci family, Patrizia and Roberto together with their children Giacomo, Alberto and Nicola, who gave birth to a sustainable farm – Tenuta La Querciana – which, year after year, has been enriched by various worlds related to gastronomy and high-level hospitality.
Thus, Fiori e Frutti comes to life 2010 in an old farmhouse dating back to the 17th century and once owned by the noble Fürstenberg family, as the coat of arms above the door still reminds us. The original 15-room country relais was completely inspired by Patrizia and Roberto’s passion for the English countryside.

The name chosen for the structure is due to its magical position, on one side surrounded by the estate’s orchards and, on the other, overlooking a lake full of water lilies that seems to have come out of a Pre-Raphaelite painting.
The rooms are all furnished differently and equipped with every comfort. Upon arrival, you will find a romantic straw shopping bag on the bed containing everything you need to cool off in the swimming pool and perhaps pamper yourself with a good cocktail before lunch or dinner. Fiori e Frutti offers, in fact, inside everything you could want from a holiday.
The estate also includes the Al Segnavento restaurant and bistro, the Osteria Ai Brillanti, both with a farm-to-table concept, and an adjoining shop where you can purchase farm products, from jams and eggs to cured meats and giardiniera, and the educational farm Farm House.
These delicacies can also be savored in the morning when breakfast is served, prepared by the team of chefs Alberto Bucci and his mother Patrizia Delponte, famous winner of the eighth edition of “Cuochi d’Italia”. A marvelous setting, in the summer, under the shade of the fragrant jasmine on the terrace in front of Fiori e Frutti and, in the winter, in the delightful British-style dining room, amidst fine china and steaming homemade bread.
To relax, the relais also offers two sitting rooms inspired by English hunting clubs and the Regency style, as well as the possibility of booking various activities, from horse riding, benefiting from the adjacent stable, another “family” passion, to courses of cooking.
A marvel which, thanks to its convenient location between Venice, Padua and Treviso, is also the perfect base for day trips to other cities in the Veneto region.
The Secret
The original arches of the facade of the Relais were “recreated” during the conservative restoration to recall the portico that once adorned the old farmhouse.
