It was way back in 1921 when the De Prà family decided to build the Dolàda hotel and restaurant, at the foot of the mountain of the same name that overlooks the small village of Plois di Pieve d’Alpago, a Michelin star since 1969.

All around, and the “secret weapon” of the exceptional dishes of chef Riccardo De Prà, the fifth generation of the family, is the Doladino farm with a vegetable garden-vineyard, many wild animals, such as the renowned Alpago lamb, and pristine woods rich in game, mushrooms, and wild herbs.

You will find more in the woods than in books. Trees and stones will teach you what cannot be learned from masters.

Right inside one of these woods, you will find the Baita nel Bosco (Chalet in the Woods), the heart of the Doladino farm, a place where the ancient vinegar factory of Enzo, Riccard’s father, is still preserved and where staying means taking a dip into the past, truly out of time.

A location that is not, in fact, for everyone: a small isolated farm 1.5 km from the provincial road that can only be reached by 4×4 car, on foot or by bicycle, consisting of 2 double bedrooms, one with glass walls and a panoramic view towards the valley, and 1 bedroom shared with two beehives that smell of honey.

Here life is just like once upon a time, with an old kitchen stove and a cozy living room with a fireplace, surrounded only by the sounds of nature. However, thanks to Riccardo’s cosmopolitan good taste, in the chalet, along with “rural” objects, we find many design pieces and works of art that give a very “cool” touch to the property.

A place to take refuge alone or with some friends, or organize educational courses built on specific needs, and regenerate both heart and soul.

A rustic chalet, then, but with lots of “treats” nearby. From this spring, in fact, a jacuzzi will also be installed in front of the property, which takes water from the nearby stream, to take a hot bath under the stars while sipping champagne.

Just 5 minutes away, there is also the Dolada 1921 restaurant, where you can delight in the farm-to-table cuisine of chef Riccardo, and the eponymous boutique hotel with 3 brand new luxury suites that offer any kind of contemporary comforts.

The Secret

One of the double bedrooms of the chalet is set up for apitherapy with 2 of the farm’s beehives, an experience available in the summer, which give life to the excellent Doladino honey.

The chaket is suitable to be lived also in winter for a maximum of 2/3 people since it is not possible to heat one of the double rooms.
