In the heart of the Asolo hills, in the quaint Monfumo, the wines of the Amadio Estate constitute the top excellence of the DOCG certification of these magnificent territories thanks to their sustainable production process made entirely by hand.
The 20-hectare estate from which the Amadio Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut is born hosts different vineyards which, thanks to the peculiarity of their terroir, the sunny hill slopes and the skillful care of the winemakers, offer grapes with unique characteristics that transmit distinctive aromas and flavors to their wines.
Tenuta Amadio is a winery “of a 100 horizons”, playing with the nickname that the poet Giosuè Carducci used to describe the nearby Asolo, one of the most beautiful historic towns in Italy. This is why the cellar, a green structure built 7 meters below the ground level to be in harmony with the landscape, offers a 360° view of the surrounding vineyards and, in particular, of a hill dominated by the romantic bell tower that inspired the Tenuta Amadio logo.
We take care of our vineyards with the same devotion that our grandfather had for “his” land, in order to create a wine that respects the generous nature that created it.
(Simone Rech, owner)
It was 1850 when Amadio Rech fell in love with this landscape to the point of buying all the land that today belongs to the Estate. Here, he built not only his house but also a small church, the one drawn on the Amadio wine labels, which is open for visits and accessible through a short walk.
The same devotion that today has been firmly taken in hand by the new generation of the Rech family, Silvia and Simone, who have chosen to pay homage to the values of their grandfather in the entire company philosophy, translating them into the total sustainability of the supply chain as well as into a quality that is declined in a handmade harvesting and in the processing of the grapes still fresh in the cellar.
The result is an extraordinary sparkling wine with sensory hints of apple, exotic fruit, citrus and a persistent and lively perlage that expresses its maximum characteristics after two months from bottling.
The winery, in addition to organizing tastings and events of all kinds, also offers the opportunity to stay among the vineyards in a beautiful stone house, certified KlimaHaus, which houses two apartments overlooking the surrounding hills.
Tenuta Amadio, a protagonist of the Asolo Dolce Vita, offers concerts of jazz, blues and classical music in spring and autumn as well as many initiatives dedicated to good food and conviviality.
