The Rosapetra is located in Cortina d’Ampezzo, just steps from the town center and the ski lifts. Named after one of the most evocative spectacles of the Dolomite peaks, which are tinged with pink at sunrise and sunset, the hotel is a haven of well-being where you can retreat year-round.

The interior design of the 33 rooms, including 7 suites, was coordinated by Carlo Samarati, who created intimate and cozy spaces that combine traditional Cortina d’Ampezzo materials such as stone, wood, and marble with contrasting glass and steel. The exquisite details and finishes are crafted by local master craftsmen, including Cason Marmi, who crafted the ancient native stone of Castellavazzo, bringing the charm of the Dolomite skyline to the interiors. Alvio De Nard’s historic carpentry workshop, which warmed the lobby and restaurant with wood and beams salvaged from old local farmhouses, also stands out.

Vista Restaurant, also open to external guests, offers gourmet cuisine that celebrates traditional flavors and features a regional menu with a strong focus on local produce and seasonal delicacies.

The menu also includes numerous vegan and vegetarian options, featuring low-temperature cooking, carefully selected ingredients, and the authentic magic of Alpine herbs, harvested directly from Rosapetra’s garden. The restaurant’s striking design features enormous panoramic windows framed by wooden beams, contrasting with the stone columns and the pure white ceramic stove, handmade by DeBernardo based on a late 18th-century Viennese model.

The beautiful spa, inspired by a holistic philosophy in which all treatments are designed to simultaneously benefit the body, mind and senses, offers a pool heated to 30° with hydromassage, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, cold well, ice waterfall, jet, emotional showers, gym and relaxation areas and the evocative outdoor Black Sauna, inspired by the original Finnish savusauna, or “smoke saunas”.

The Secret

The bar is equipped with a huge LED screen that broadcasts the outside panorama 24 hours a day; in the winter season do not miss the spectacle of the “internal snowfall” savoring a cocktail among the suggestive snowflakes that descend from the shaft in the center of the room.
