Ristorante Aromi
A Silk Road-inspired cuisine with a view in Venice's temple of industrial archaeology

Inside the Molino Stucky on the island of Giudecca in Venice, Aromi is a refined restaurant offering Mediterranean tradition with Eastern influences, combined with the charm of a design inspired by yacht clubs and one of the most beautiful sunsets in the city.
A captivating neo-Gothic silhouette soars above the Giudecca skyline, mirrored in the waters of the eponymous canal. The Hilton Molino Stucky, now a 5-star hotel, is one of Venice’s most iconic landmarks.
Once the largest mill in Europe, the building houses the Aromi Restaurant, a haute cuisine salon led by chef Ivan Fargnoli where industrial history meets cosmopolitan fine dining, amid rooms inspired by the most elegant yacht clubs and an outdoor terrace overlooking the magnificent sunset from Giudecca.

Giudecca Island holds the most authentic and intimate soul of Venice, a haven of peace and beauty where the elegance of the Molino Stucky is reflected in the water, suspended between industrial nostalgia and enchanting views.
The Unique History of the Stucky Mill
Made of red bricks and spires reminiscent of Northern Europe, the Stucky Mill tells a Venetian saga of times gone by. Founded in 1884 by entrepreneur Giovanni Stucky to produce the famous Super Pasta Stucky, the factory reached its peak in 1895, when German architect Ernst Wullekopf expanded it, giving it the monumental neo-Gothic appearance we admire today.
Between the advent of rail transport and historical changes, the mill ceased production in 1955, remaining a sleeping giant for decades. Only in 2007, after a major restoration, was this 19th-century industrial archaeology reborn as a luxury hotel.

Chef Ivan Fargnoli’s Cuisine: A Modern Silk Road
Aromi’s culinary offerings are a true sensory journey. At the helm of the kitchen is Chef Ivan Fargnoli. Originally from Milan but a citizen of the world, Fargnoli returned to Italy after years spent in the East leading luxury temples in Beijing and Shenyang.
Like a modern-day Marco Polo, the Chef retraces an imaginary Silk Road, blending solid Mediterranean tradition and Veneto ingredients with the techniques and aromas he learned in Asia. Among his signature dishes not to be missed: the Venetian-style chicken liver tortelli, in which the traditional filling meets a chicken broth concentrated for 72 hours, enhanced by the citrus notes of Buddha’s Hand and the bitter finish of licorice, and the Glacier 51, a fish of the highest culinary craftsmanship, with exceptional purity and texture, served with a sweet garlic sauce, salty lemon, salty agretti and a refreshing salad foam.

The Design: Yacht Club Style
Entering Aromi means immersing yourself in a sophisticated and elegantly nautical atmosphere. The space is a tribute to yacht club style, dominated by shades of deep blue and embellished with designer pieces such as Autoban chairs and Gubi tables, which complement the original exposed brick walls and cement-resin floors, reflecting the historical legacy of this extraordinary venue.
The centerpiece of the interior is the majestic Riva 1920 table designed by Matteo Thun and sculpted using historic Venetian lagoon mooring posts.

Sunset and wine pairing on the Giudecca Canal
With the arrival of warm weather, the Aromi experience moves outdoors to the splendid terrace overlooking the Giudecca Canal. Dining here at sunset, with the lights of Venice reflecting on the water, is one of the most romantic experiences in the lagoon, perhaps preceded by an aperitif at the Skyline Rooftop Bar at Hilton Molino Stucky, the highest in the city with breathtaking views of the historic center.
Restaurant Manager Giovanni Burrafato will pamper you not only with impeccable service but also with a remarkable wine list showcasing Italian excellence, with a focus on Veneto and Northern Italy, alongside Eastern and international influences.

The Secret
Many of the mill’s original details were preserved during the restoration, such as the mosaic depicting Demeter, the goddess of the harvest, which adorns the tower, the clock located in the main entrance of one of the buildings, and the bell, which announced the end of the working day, still hanging in the lobby.
