In Peschiera del Garda, the new Pavillon Restaurant & Suite are housed in the former Habsburg officers' quarters, surrounded by the picturesque Canale di Mezzo and the walls of the city's famous fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the heart of Peschiera del Garda, the new Pavillon Restaurant & Suites are an architectural masterpiece where nature, lake, river, and human touch come together to create a new luxury experience that offers the opportunity to savor the charm of history with all the comforts of a five-star hotel.
On the second floor of the Officers’ Pavilion, eleven new exclusive suites and two apartments, with 2 and 3 bedrooms and large living rooms, offer breathtaking views and exceptional amenities, such as private indoor saunas, heated terrace whirlpools, and a private pool.

The new suites and penthouses offer all the charm of living in history, immersed in one of Italy’s most beautiful fortresses and the magic of Lake Garda.
The Officers’ Pavilion boasts a truly unique history: built in 1856 by the Habsburg army to house its high-ranking officers, it occupies a panoramic position between the Canale di Mezzo, near the “Voltoni” Bridge, and the ancient walls of the splendid walled city, a former Venetian fortress, on Lake Garda.
Fallen into disuse with the birth of the Kingdom of Italy, the elegant neoclassical building was reopened in 2023 after a lengthy restoration by the Ristoclassique group, a leader in charming hospitality on Lake Garda and the Mincio River Park. The group gave it new life while preserving the architectural and structural features of the 19th-century Austro-Hungarian structure.

The suites and apartments offer a truly charming stay, thanks in part to the use of precious materials typical of the area’s history, such as pink Lessinia stone for the floors, wood for the interior structures, lime plaster designed to respect the chemical characteristics of the 19th century, and fixtures reconstructed based on original drawings found in the Vienna State Archives.
And the magic, after an aperitif enjoyed by the pool in your room, continues the following morning when breakfast is served at the charming tables along the canal.

The Pavillon Restaurant Café is also located here, with a terrace overlooking the water and an internationally inspired menu that celebrates creativity and the local area history, thanks also to exhibitions and displays of artworks inspired in particular by the late 19th-century painters and Art Nouveau.
Open all day from 8:00 a.m., you can enjoy breakfast with artisanal brioches, lunch overlooking the charming Canale di Mezzo, or dinner in the intimate garden.
The menu features must-haves from Italian and international cuisine, including raw fish, pasta alla “busara” (a type of shrimp pasta) or pasta with clams, grilled octopus, or Peking-style “milk and honey” chicken, as well as classic Neapolitan pizza.

The dessert menu is also extensive, featuring babbà enriched with artisanal ice cream to lemon tart with flambéed meringue. Meanwhile, the wine list includes top-notch Valpolicella wines, cult champagnes, and ethereal whites from the Dolomites, as well as deep reds from Piedmont.
The Officers’ Pavilion is one of the most magical places from which to enjoy all the beauty of Lake Garda.
The Secret
The building’s color reflects the original, revealed by studying the remaining layers of plaster and drawings preserved in the military archives in Vienna. The aquamarine shade was chosen to blend in with the surrounding natural landscape, reducing the building’s visibility from afar in the event of enemy observation. It was also consistent with the Habsburg military color code and resistant to light, thus absorbing less heat.
