In Venice, inside the 5-star Hotel Gabrielli – Starhotels Collezione, the Felice al Gabrielli restaurant and the K Lounge cocktail bar enchant with the cuisine of chef Mirko Pistorello, the mixology of bar manager Diego Filippone, and the timeless charm of the Grand Tour atmosphere.

Opened in the summer of 2025 after a conservative restoration that followed the reopening of the legendary Hotel Gabrielli, a favorite stop on the Grand Tour, the Felice al Gabrielli restaurant embodies a fascinating literary anecdote in its name: it pays homage to Felice Bauer, the woman who was the muse and fiancée of Franz Kafka, the writer who loved staying at this very hotel, carrying on a lively correspondence with her.

Mirko Pistorello’s Cuisine

Here, Executive Chef Mirko Pistorello, a Venetian born and bred, happily returned home after various international experiences, fully embraces the Hotel Gabrielli’s philosophy, highlighting local tradition with a contemporary perspective and a profound sensitivity to the region’s identity, stemming from his choice to use locally sourced ingredients based on the “Km Veneto” concept.

A dialogue between past and present: refined flavors and ancient influences, where the saltiness of the sea meets the freshness of island gardens.

Restaurant Menu

The à la carte menu features Chef Pistorello’s signature dishes, such as Tagliolini alla “Busara” with scampi and shrimp, Risotto Crudo & Cotto from the Rialto Fish Market, and his delicious Tiramisu.

The K Lounge Bar

And for all-day dining, including a special aperitif or after-dinner drink, the K Lounge Bar is located in the room next to Felice al Gabrielli, with picturesque outdoor tables overlooking the Riva degli Schiavoni. Its menu is inspired by the flavors of the lagoon, from Venetian cicchetti to signature cocktails dedicated to Venetian legends, from the Winged Lion to the Dragon & Gondola, curated by Bar Manager Diego Filippone.

Fine Manufacturing & All-Day Dining

The interior design project also pays homage to the city: hues of ivory, white, pale gold, and warm gray, interrupted only by the lagoon green of the fine velvets, designed by renowned names like Rubelli, and the warm glow of original chandeliers and sconces by masters Archimede Seguso and the Pauly & C. glassworks.

In keeping with the hotel’s all-day dining philosophy, guests at the restaurant and cocktail bar can choose where to sit in complete relaxation and freedom, from the rooms overlooking the lagoon to the internal courtyard, enhanced by a glass and steel structure and bordered by 14th-century columns, to the velvet alcoves and the convivial table located opposite the beautiful wine cellar, the setting for tastings and events.

The Panoramic Terrace

And, on the top floor, another marvel: the Gabrielli Terrace, 150 square meters with a panoramic view of the lagoon and the island of San Giorgio. Here, amidst sunsets over San Marco and the skyline of the Lido, you can enjoy signature cocktails.

Felice al Gabrielli and K Lounge Bar are the ideal refuge at any time of day, magical places where the Grand Tour and the artists who created its legend seem to have never left.

The Secret

Due to its romantic charm, Hotel Gabrielli has appeared in many films, from The Comfort of Strangers (1990) by Paul Schrader with Rupert Everett, Natasha Richardson, Christopher Walken and Helen Mirren, to Anonimo Veneziano (1970) by Enrico Maria Salerno in which the hotel ideally represents the home of the protagonist Enrico (Tony Musante) and one of the most iconic scenes is shot on the hotel’s terrace, which offers a spectacular view of the lagoon, where Enrico takes Valeria (Florinda Bolkan).
