In Padua, in the Fiera area, the first restaurant and store of Fiorital, the largest fish importer in Europe which chooses the best fish from over 60 countries with the guarantee of maximum quality thanks to the strict controls it operates directly throughout the entire supply chain.
The quality of Fiorital can be seen firsthand at the entrance to the venue, where there is a high-tech laboratory that houses the “Time Machine”, one of the most advanced extreme cold technologies, which, thanks to the use of liquid nitrogen, a natural gas, keeps the nutritional characteristics and flavor of the fish intact.
Ytheca by Fiorital is the place of excellence where you can taste fish products from all over the world – from the most sophisticated dishes such as raw plateaus to burgers and club sandwiches – and shopping for delicious delicacies linked to the sea supply chain.
The original interior design was conceived by the “reuse artist” Costanza Algranti – founder of Algranti Lab, whose grandson Piero Algranti continues the genius today – famous for her sustainable creations in recycled materials.
Playing with the typical colors of oxidized metals and wood, the designer from Livorno has created unusual combinations of great aesthetic impact, among which the recovered wood tables and counters from the Fiorital company headquarters in Venice stand out.
The store, In Cambusa, is well stocked, where you can find even the rarest or most exotic fish and everything you need to cook it or pair it, wine and spirits included.
Closed on Sundays, it is open for lunch every day and on Saturdays also for dinner.
The Deepfrozen method, used in the Time Machine at the entrance to the restaurant, has been patented by Fiorital and is applied to the fish freshly caught. Don’t miss the live demonstration of how fish hibernates (just that for the moment!).
