Located inside a historic bookshop in the heart of Bassano del Grappa, near the entrance to the spectacular Ponte degli Alpini designed by Andrea Palladio, Impronta is the brand new address for gourmet cuisine lovers. The restaurant bears the “signature” (as a matter of fact the Italian word “Impronta” means “footprint”) of the chef Christopher Carraro, who received a Michelin star in 2017, together with his professional partner Laura Avogadri, the maitresse who also takes care of the wine selection. Carraro, despite his young age, has already had many successful experiences with the major Italian chefs.

The interior design, the result of an important renovation, is contemporary and very versatile. Contrasting materials are the leading characters of the venue; from the warmth of the wooden tables, to the industrial charm of the cement walls. The décor is enriched with works of art and contemporary design pieces made by local artisans.

The food&wine offer is focused on local quality and seasonal and includes three tasting menus: Terrarium that comprises four traditional dishes, Iter which includes eight recipes resuming the “creative journey” suggested by the Chef, and Vegetabilis dedicated to vegetarians. Alternatively, you can order “à la carte” many delicacies like tartare with foie gras, grilled potatoes with truffles, spaghetti with herring eggs and oyster sauce, fish with shiitake sauce just to name a few.

For a truly unique experience, you can book the exclusive Chef’s table, an intimate room for six with a scenographic view of the kitchen to enjoy a five star cooking show.

The Secret

At Impronta everything is designed to amaze and excite, involving the senses in a unique experience. Each menu, in fact, has its own name, almost a keyword that, step by step, reveals the philosophy and the great passion that led to the birth of this particular gourmet project.
