A former industrial space, Cantiere Gallery was born in 2018 from the passion of three friends willing to give life to a very international place with a strong artistic vocation. A mix of an art gallery and an informal restaurant, it has an eclectic vibe, underlined by the candlelight atmosphere and the many paintings, sculptures, and installations that characterized the environment. Just the ideal place to buy a unique piece of artwork whilst sipping a cocktail, definitely worth to be lived from dawn to dusk.
Today part of TAD, Treviso Art District, in this outstanding loft of 400m2 with 7-meter ceilings and exposed bricks, you can find, in fact, unique art pieces selected by a team of art curators. Everything you see can be bought, even the chairs you are sitting on!
In the morning it is possible to enjoy a delicious breakfast, offering from muffins to fresh fruit and juices, whilst when the sun goes down, Cantiere Gallery becomes the perfect place for an unusual cocktail or a romantic dinner. For the most demanding palates, the menu also includes a selection of raw and gourmet proposals coordinated by the brigade of Simone Selva, chef of Vite, the fine dining restaurant that completes TAD’s food offer.
With its gentleman’s club mood, it is also the perfect place for a drink and a chat with friends, perhaps in the secret Whisky Room, just perfect for private rendez-vous (available upon reservation).
The venue offers also a truly magical garden, decorated with colorful murals and dedications painted by customers, and an original Tiki Bar, inspired by the legendary Hawaiian cocktail bars of the 30s.
The Secret
The loft that houses Cantiere Gallery was closed for almost 15 years (previously it had been the historic Aprilia headquarters in Treviso) before being taken over in 2016: it took 2 years of renovations, during which the owners literally built everything, absolutely everything, by themselves, pushed by the vision of giving life to their dream cultural project.
