A former industrial space, Il Cantiere Gallery was born in 2018 in Treviso from the passion of three friends willing to give life to a very international place with a strong artistic vocation.
A mix of an art gallery and an informal restaurant, Il Cantiere Gallery has an eclectic vibe, underlined by the candlelight atmosphere and the many paintings, sculptures, and installations that characterized the environment. Just the ideal place to buy a unique piece of artwork whilst sipping a cocktail, definitely worth to be lived from the aperitif time till late.
Today part of TAD, Treviso Art District, in this outstanding loft of 400m2 with 7-meter ceilings and exposed bricks, you can find, in fact, unique art pieces selected by a team of art curators. Everything you see can be bought, even the chairs you are sitting on.
With its gentleman’s club mood, Il Cantiere Gallery is the perfect place for a drink and a chat with friends, perhaps in the secret Whisky Room, just perfect for private rendez-vous (available upon reservation), or a fun informal dinner.
The venue offers also a truly magical garden, decorated with colorful murals and dedications painted by customers, and an original Tiki Bar, inspired by the legendary Hawaiian cocktail bars of the 30s.
The Secret
The loft that houses the shipyard was closed for almost 15 years (previously it had been the historic Treviso headquarters of Aprilia) before being taken over in 2016, followed by 2 years of renovation work.
