John Reed celebrates 10 years of fitness and art
Performances at the Venice Art Biennale and the new murals at the Mestre club

To mark its first 10 years, John Reed Fitness celebrated its anniversary at the 2026 Venice Art Biennale by paying homage to Venice and its locations in Mestre and Trieste with performances by artists Luca Ranci and Robbie Dunn.
Fitness, art, and beauty. To mark the 10th anniversary of John Reed’s birth and the 2026 Venice Art Biennale, the brand, together with ‘Amica Loves Venice’, paid homage to Venice with a performance by artists Luca Ranci and Robbie Dunk.
An internationally renowned street artist and tattoo artist, respectively, they decorated the Serra dei Giardini della Biennale with a temporary mural and a body painting session in collaboration with Andrea Sartor, bodybuilder and club manager of John Reed Mestre.

The beautiful thing about training at John Reed is that even in the toughest moments, there’s beauty. You stop for a second, look up, and see art everywhere, like in Venice.
The theme of the performance, the Lion of St. Mark, is also featured in the mural created by Luca Ranci inside the John Reed Mestre gym, where the Ken Scott exhibition continues and is open to the public.
Ten years in Venice Mestre represent not only an anniversary for John Reed, but also the consolidation of a clear identity. In this first decade, John Reed has built a distinctive position in the fitness scene, establishing itself as a project capable of combining training, art, music, design, and culture in a single experience.

Its clubs are spaces inspired by local art and culture, where workouts engage with atmospheres, visual languages, and creative influences.
Examples of this include the latest projects held within the gyms, such as Picasso Celebration, that brought an exhibition dedicated to the Spanish master to the clubs, born from a collaboration with the Folligeniali Museum and the Bergognone Art School in Lodi; Superheroes, a collective of contemporary artists who have inspired their works by major superheroes; and the latest one, ongoing, that pays homage to designer Ken Scott and his most iconic patterns and textiles.

John Reed creates spaces where training, music, design, and culture coexist and reinforce each other. It is precisely this ability to combine performance and imagination, energy and aesthetic research, that makes it a unique brand in the Italian and international scene, dedicated to beauty, understood as a drive to improve oneself and the world.
John Reed is part of RSG Group, a European leader in the fitness industry, also present in Italy with the McFIT and Gold’s Gym brands.
The Secret
John Reed is a fictitious name that, in the mind of its inventor Rainer Schaller, evokes that of a free-spirited, curious-minded rocker.
