Christmas at Hotel Villa Cipriani
And what to do in the romantic village of Asolo during the Holiday Season

Spending the holidays at Hotel Villa Cipriani and in the village of Asolo, made even more magical by the many events scheduled, is one of the most beautiful winter treats, allowing you to immerse yourself in the charm of one of the 5-star hotels richest in history and charm in Italy.
Since December 7th, Villa Cipriani has been decked out for the holidays with a new addition: for the first time, its outdoor terrace overlooking the English garden and “the 100 horizons of Asolo” has been transformed into a heated veranda draped in a thousand fairy lights, perfect for enjoying wonderful dinners, parties, and aperitifs with a view even on the coldest days.
Here, in the American Bar with warm wood paneling and in the Caterina Cornaro room featuring a fireplace wrapped in pine branches and abundant decorations, the most beloved Christmas rituals take place, including hot chocolates, cappuccinos with panettone and gourmet cannoncini, and numerous auspicious toasts.

Meanwhile, at the Villa Cipriani restaurant, chef Marco Pinelli presents two menus, one featuring fish and one meat, designed for the Christmas season and one for New Year’s Eve. These menus feature beloved holiday classics, from sliced capon Caesar salad, thyme focaccia crostini, and chicory salad to artisanal, naturally leavened panettone with zabaglione and dark chocolate.
The Hotel Villa Cipriani, with its charming rooms and suites and its wellness center—where you can book a sauna/Turkish bath and facial/body treatments—is the perfect retreat for a romantic weekend or a family celebration, or to enjoy all the winter magic of the village of Asolo.

From the monumental tree in its central square to concerts, many activities are planned for December 2025 (those interested can subscribe to the hotel’s monthly newsletter to stay up-to-date on events in Asolo and the surrounding area). The Modern Calligraphy Workshop will be held at the Hotel Villa Cipriani on Saturday, December 13th, to rediscover this ancient art with a modern twist, with a lesson led by calligraphy instructor Elisa Giacomazzi (from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM).
One of Asolo’s most popular events, its Antiques Market in the historic center, returns on Sunday, December 14th. It’s also possible to book a guided tour of the Civic Museum (at 4:00 PM).

The most festive events will take place on December 21st: the second Santa Claus Race (11:00 a.m.) and the Asolo Matinée Christmas Concert at Asolo Town Hall (11:15 a.m.), followed by tastings of mulled wine and panettone.
Also not to be missed is the exhibition “The Asolo Landscape in the Photographs of Herbert Young (1854-1941),” on display at the Civic Tower of Asolo until January 31, 2026. This exhibition features a selection of historic photographs from the H. Young Photographic Collection, which also offers the opportunity to enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the hills surrounding the village from the top floor of the tower.

And, not far from Asolo, is the magnificent Antonio Canova Gypsotheque, which until January 11, 2026, hosts the exhibition “Carlo Scarpa and the Arts at the Biennale – Works and Glass from the Gemin Collection,” presenting for the first time a significant selection from the collection of architect Luciano Gemin, a friend and collaborator of Carlo Scarpa.
At the Hotel Villa Cipriani, Christmas has never been so beautiful.
